Belkin wireless network adaptor not installing

Just purchased a new computer from best buy today with windows 7 (obviously), along with that I also purchased a belkin branded wireless network adaptor. I follow the setup directions all the way through until it tells me to restart the computer for the software to work. When it boots back up, it recognizes the network adaptor but the driver for the adaptor is non-existent like it never installed in the first place, thus the adaptor not being able to work and connect to the internet. I've also tried installing the driver with windows firewall turned off, but still no luck.

Here's the model number for the adaptor: F6D4050 v2

As a side note, this is my first computer that I've bought brand new....Everything else I always bought used, so I'm sorta on a rough start lol. Any help would be much appreciated.

OK I went to the website and couldn't find your driver. So (and I don't know if this will work.) Go to my computer>click on the drive with the installation cd in it> click open in new window. You should be able to find the setup.exe file, now right click on it and select properties> then select compatibility> check the box run in compatibility mode> select Vista or if the drivers were written for XP select that. Now install from the setup.exe> when prompted reboot your system and see if this worked. Their is probably a simpler way to do this but what I'm attempting to do (since you or I couldn't find the driver to download) is to install it in compatibility mode, as I'm fairly confident they haven't written any drivers specifically for 7. "OK" Now all you Tech guys( a request) much smarted than I please chime in and show him the right way or better way. Thanks. Fabe

Thanks a ton for the info! Saved me a big headache from going back to bestbuy with my desktop. It still took me awhile to get the connection going and ultimately I had to uninstall the so called free trial anti-virus, which I think was what was giving me problems. But the lead you gave me also helped a bunch because I thought I tried everything trying to fool with it and didn't think about going into the setup options. Anyways, thanks again! :]
