    Microtek ScanMaker 3880

Has anyone managed to operate Microtek's ScanMaker 3880 on Windows 7 or Vista? I have testested both accompanying drives and the latest drives online with no luck. The OSs just do not recognise the scanner which shows up as unkown device in Device Manager. This is despite the fact that the driver for Win 7 is part of the download and is supposed to be 'Vista Certified'. If you have ever got the scanner running, please drop a message.

    Thank you,

    Dee

Ignore the downloaded drivers. Go to the company website and get what they have to offer, so you will have the most up to date. They may also have firmware, which you can download. If you are not sucessful, try an XP driver in compatibility mode, that should work too.

    1) Download this file: азместить файл в Интернет or Яндекс.Народ

    2) Extract archive to folder on desktop
    3) Plug in your Scanner
    4) Go to Control Panel (Windows 7 - 64 and 32 bit)
    5) Go to Device Manager
    6) Go to Imaging devices (or Other devices)
    7) Find what windows have installed Right Click
    8) Update Driver Software.
    9) Automatically install from Browse to your desktop or position where you extracted archive
    10) If ask it's not certificated In any case install it

    It is working, I tested this in Windows 7 ( 32bit )
