Can't make HP Laserjet 6L Pro working on Win7

    Hey guys!

My father brought me an old HP LaserJet 6L Pro printer. At his workplace they used it with XP. At HP's website I couldn't find any driver for it, only for Win ME, not even XP. I tried using XP mode on win7 without succes. At least the XP has defeault settings for Laserjet 6L when I tried adding the printer manually. Only I couldn't choose the port. For some reason 7 doesn't have the drivers anymore, guess it's a nice buisness step.

Could you help me? I can't think any smart solution. The printer is hooked to the PC via an LPT1 to USB cable.
LPT1 to LPT1 is not an option, mobo too modern. I see the printer in Device Manager under Other Devices with a question mark on it's icon.

Ok, after the long search I found a solution, maybe someone will have this problem in the future.

Go to Control panel, click devices and printers. There click Add printer --> Local --> Choose USB port 001 --> Choose The HP LaserJet 3055 and it's working. I think they may have the same drivers. The point it's funcioning. Sorry for any grammar mistake, or bad menu names, I'm hungarian and I also use use hungarian windows, so I can only guess the menu names.
