    Please help, where are AMD 785g drivers?


    Hello, I am about to upgrade from an AMD 785g to an AMD 970 motherboard and some people have told me to uninstall my current mobo drivers and let windows install generic ones before doing the replacement. Now I may look really stupid here, but I can not find my motherboard drivers. I have checked show hidden devices, but I can not find anything that says AMD Chipset or anything similar, and the things that have motherboard in the title it says that no drivers are installed.

    The motherboard drivers are numerous. I wouldn't bother trying to uninstall them. Just upgrade the mobo and install the new drivers. They'll replace the old ones just fine. As it is, the first time you boot with the new board, Windows will assign generic drivers to it anyway, before you install the manufacturer's ones.

    Don't forget to grab the latest drivers from your motherboard manufacturer's website before you start.
