Solved help needed acer E1-570 windows 8 to windows 7

hi to all members,I purchased new for christmas hated windows 8 so formated and installed windows 7 home premium 64 bit all ok except can not connect to internet,when open device manager shows no drivers installed for the following. ethernet controller,network controller,pci simple communications controller,sm bus controller,universal serial bus usb controller.I have contacted acer they say no drivers available for windows 7 on this laptop.please help I do not have back up for windows 8 no recovery disc no recovery partition. I think drivers for windows 8 will work but I dont know how to find them or even the make ie intell broadcom ect. if any one has done this succesfully please email me,or any other offers of [email protected] ps I love windows 7 but if I can not do this I have £350 brick. so please help as windows 8 is not for me.thanks.:cry:

Hi Welcome to Seven Forums .. You need the Chipset and Lan Driver .. You can find them in the Link below .. If these Drivers do not work let me know the errors you get when you try to Install them ..

It just takes you to the main page in the first section click on Notebook .. Then in the second section click on Aspire .. In the third section scrool down to you see your Model Number it near the bottom and click on it .. That will list the Drivers ..

I just tried the link; it worked for me. All you do is click on it and follow maxie's instructions.

Also have a pretty bad speaker setup which is a klipsch promedia 5.1 surround speaker setup with huge subwoofer and lg blu ray player/writer. Also a hp officejet pro 8600 plus wireless all in one and a logitech s7500 webcam.

I have no idea what is wrong at your end .. I am in Belfast but ISP uses a Glasgow server .. How ever for your Lan Driver you need the Broadcom 15.6.0.8 Version .. search for that

after 3 days and nights finally got windows 7 100% WORKING ON ACER E1-570 no more windows 8 thanks for all the help and advice especially to Dominic wilkin who gave me link to get wi fi driver and everyone who emailed me I finally paid £18.00 to find all drivers after getting online I purchased Driver Support and after couple of hours all drivers installed A1 1 verry happy guy good ridance windows 8 the worst o/system ever made.::)sorry people the software I purchased was Driver Boost not Driver Support.

Sorry to re-open this thread.
I am now working for 3 days on installing win7 pro x64 on an Acer E1-570. The installation itself worked fine but i am having some driver issues.
Acer only supports Win8 for this Notebook.
Some of the Win8 drivers on the provided CD worked, but i cannot find the right ones for the WIFI controller.
Also some USB device (USB3.0?) needs a driver. I tried different atheros and broadcom drivers for other acer and even Lenovo Notebooks but i have no luck!
Can anyone provide me the correct driver for Wifi? (Dominic wilkin ??? :o)
I really DO NOT want to use Software like Driverboost.

I have found the driver for WAN.. its Qualcomm Atheros AR956xWireless Network Adapter..
Search for it.. or i will upload my driver..
