    WOAH! Driver ISSUES!


    Holy CRAP! does ANYTHING work with this OS??

    My ATI HD3870 video card wont work...Upon downloading the windows 7 ATI CCC it informs me that there has been an error installing the driver...only for it to actually show up in the device manager as working, but then when I try to restart to set my MOBO to use it, I get a BSOD from atikmdag.sys
    error code 0x00000116

    my Realtek AC'97 on-board audio card was working until reboot just like in another thread on this forum. At this point, however, isn't even showing up on the unknown devices list, nor ANYWHERE else on the Device Manager...

    Also there's an unrecognized and unsupported piece of hardware on my mobo (ACPI\AWY0001.....WTF is this thing!?) I cant even begin to find drivers that might go to it for Win7x64

    can anyone offer fixes for these problems? or should I just go back to vistax32? at least everything worked on there...

    Please navigate to c:/windows/minidump and zip up your .dmp files and upload them for analysis...

    Did you install drivers yourself, or did you allow Windows to find and install drivers via Windows Update? Also, have you visited the Asus forums? I've seen a few threads over there about your motherboard and issues with Windows 7.

I just installed Windows 7 on my Dell Latitude D505 and my screen resolution is terrible. I'm having trouble locating the right drivers on the Dell site and to tell you the truth, I don't even know what I need. Does anyone have any sugguestions? I really appreciate the help.
