    PCI Input Device - Code 28 in Device Manager


    I've just upgraded my 6 year old computer from Win XP to Win 7.

    In Device Manager, there is an item with a yellow caution under Other Devices called "PCI Input Device". The Device Properties indicates Code 28. I searched both the Internet and the computer but couldn't find a driver.

    I ran Belarc Advisor and didn't see any hardware errors.

    There doesn't seem to be any more specific clues regarding the component causing this error and there also doesn't seem to be any hardware that isn't working. (at least not that I have found)

    Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this problem?

    Hi Welcome to Seven Forums .. Go to the Unknown Device in the Device Manager .. Select it then Right click on it and select property's then select Details and Post back the hardware's id it will be PCI some thing ...

    Hi there .. It seems to be a Creative Game Port ... There is no support for this Device as stated by Creative support end of service life .. I think there is still a Driver available for it but it would be for Vista .. I dont think it is some thing you really need ...
