    Hi there ... Its no bother at all that is what we are here for to help .. Did you Install the USB 3 Driver ? .. Go to the Device Manager / Unknown Device click on it then right click .. Select property's / Details there should be an ID numbers there that start with PCI some thing .. Post them here please ...

    Yes the usb3 driver did install. Just re-installed but the problem remains..........will now look at your link and report back,,,,

    I can find the Driver for that Unknown Device ... I am not sure it would resolve the error .. But its your choice just ask if you want it :)

    Found this program [see screenshot] which has some information but when I right click on get driver option it go to a website for about a second and then reverts to my home page.

    PS I would be pleased if you would give me the file you alluded to. Should I do a disk image before installing it?

    It is not the Chipset Driver which is causing the problem ... Its a Host Controller program HP 3D Driveguard .. Which is a load of bloatware you do not need ..
