No - no need to clean in that case it was just an afterthought. My set up is very similar to yours only difference is I have the i5K and 8GB RAM.

Would just like to find the actual model of wifi adaptor so we could put that one to bed.

Sadly my computer's a custom build from a friend so I don't know the model, and I don't know of a way to find it yet.

Is your mouse and keyboard connected to USB or PS/2? If both of your keyboard and mouse are connected to USB, the USB port with your keyboard may not be working. Have you downloaded the USB drivers? https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8...pport_Download Try downloading Intel first and if that does not work, download the AsMedia.

the only device that shows up for some reason is my usb adapter that I'm using temporarily. I was able to access the internet without it before I wiped my computer, so I'm not sure what's going on.

EDIT: Nvm, I installed some motherboard drivers and there was a network adapter thing in there apparently. I'm going to go through everything again and make sure I'm not missing anything, then I'll just mark this as solved. Thanks to everyone who helped me.

The asmedia thing worked, thanks a bunch! All I need to do for now (I hope) is fix my network adapter and then copy all my files over.
