    1. Place the driver installation file on the Desktop.

    2. Right Click the driver installation file and select Properties/Compatibility Tab. Select Vista

    3. Click Apply/OK.

    4. Right Click the file and select the Run As Administrator option to install.
I placed first the folder on the desktop within the driver installation file and then run. After that I placed the driver installation file on the desktop and run it with the right properties. Then I get the following error? I tried it again because the driver from the chipset: Unknown device doesnt disappear.

Restart anyway. Then go back into Device Manager and check to see that "Other Devices" is gone.

The driver Unknown device is gone. On my windows.old folder was an folder called Realtek USB 2.0 reader driver, so I updated the driver and refers to that folder incuded sub folder.

Maybe Is the Unknow device driver there also, with some name like Intel?

Yes I know, and I give the PC back so the other driver canīt be fixed. But the PC functions good so its not a huge problem.
