Nintendo WiFi USB adapter

Is anyone still trying to get this to work without virtual machines etc?
I myself have been trying to get this to work on Vista x64, which is more or less the same as windows 7. I've tried the same thing as Elsiko and also managed to get the stick working in receiver mode.

I believe there is a way to be able to use the ralink softap tool to use the nintendo stick as softap, with the modified drivers, but unfortunately I do not own a nintendo usb connector myself. I did get someone to try to use the ralink tool but without success and this person is not that great with troubleshooting.

I would like to ask if someone here is willing to give the ralink tool a try and play some with it. Considering the nintendo connector has a rt2500 chipset it should work, perhaps with a few modifications, but in theory it should (unless there is something I missed).

It took me a while to find the official rt2500usb drivers + tool, so I uploaded it to megaupload in case someone is interested in trying this. It can be found here.
My own modified drivers can be found here (looks like the version number is newer than the drivers Elsiko posted).

Looking forward to feedback :)

Honestly I'm not even sure I still have those drivers, you should consider to buy a proper Wifi dongle, it costs like 15/20€ max, and it's much better than the old nintendo one.
I'll try to look for the drivers on my comp when I come back home.
Cheers.

Exactly which dongle to you recommend? Because I have a Planex, and a offical Nintendo one.. neither seems to work. Wish I could bring my wireless router to my dorm, but its prohibited :( Anyway, tose drivers you have may help, as long as it can run on Windows 7 64bit version.
Thanks.
