    There might be some help found in this thread on MS Community.


    The method that helped most folks seems to be

    delete the upperFilter sub-key
    The upperFilter sub-key for that control class might not exist on your machine.

    Don't try to search for upperfilter, it is a sub-key on many keys.

    Make sure that you have the correct key before you delete the sub-key.

    Just remembered that thread pop-in up back from 2013:

    The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device... error

    What's about the service.msc...

    Looks for the Windows Driver Foundation service (bottom of the list), if its started Manual or Automatic.

    If set to Manual, then set it to Automatic & start it.
