Thanks, I'll lookup your machine on HP
No ATI Technologies folder in Progamdata, ok. I guess it got cleaned up in the regular uninstall process. Just wanted to check for bits and pieces.
Good, now WU won't compete with you on the AMD driver
Driver Fusion doesn't look right. It looks as though one of the upgrade or trial prompts might have been selected.
The last bullet: evaluation.....21 jours
I don't recall any of that when I installed the free version last night.
If you're still at the install screen, press the back button. If you already installed it, I hope you didn't purchase it yet.
Please post a screen shot of the Display driver in Device manager (plate/driver tab). I want to be sure that you've rolled it all the way back. I would expect that the screenshot(s) would not be so fine grained (ugly some might say)
Thanks
Bill
To avoid confusing me, say Fusion instead of driver - ok
Yeah, based on that Fusion screen, it looks as though you downloaded the premium version. But that might only be their way of marketing the premium version (I did say the install prompted a lot of times).
Wen you download Fusion, did it automatically start or did you click on a button. The link I supplied should have started the FREE version download.
I'm not sure what will happen if you press the next button. Just don't press the Buy Premium button, I don't want you to incur any expense for a one time use. The free version does what you need.
If you hit the next button and it starts asking for payment options, cancel out of Fusion and I'll look for another avenue.
I've only recommended a purchase in one case, when the free utility (drive recover) could not resolve the issue.
This is what I see when I launch Fusion. Ignore that screen - you're not interested in those features of Fusion.
You'll want to move to the Family menu pick and select AMD.
Let's try another way to see the Device information.
Please follow this tutorial to provide the current operating environment of your machine.

Thanks
Back in a few after I read up on your machine.
Just need confirmation on the model, I found HP Pavilion HPE h8-1020 Desktop
How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number? HP Pavilion HPE h8-1020 Desktop PC | HP® Support
You said HP h8-1020. That one letter difference can mean a little or a lot. I don't want to look at a machine with a different board or components (I have made that mistake enough times)
Bill
.
ah my mistake, it is indeed an HP Pavillon HPE series model h8-1020
Let's see what Fusion says then,
scroll down - in the lower left hand corner, press details,
Print a screen for me - thanks
