ambershee - Sounds like you've tried almost everything.
Have you disabled any/all antivirus scanners including Norton or McAfee Suites before installation?
Have you run a Memory Diagnostic yet?

    I'm running 2 9800 GT's on Win7x64 with no problems at all.
    Using Nvidia driver version 190.38

    *edit*
Also, during installation of Win7 x64; Windows installed some native drivers for my video that worked just fine with no crashes. The next thing I updated was the NForce Mobo driver set which included the drivers for video that I am now currently using.

    Hope you get it fixed.

I am not having any issues now with my 9800gtx+ card and drivers on my versions of windows 7

but when i was beta testing right up to enterprise edition on RC I did have BSOD everytime i attempted a driver update.

I debugged the problem nailing it down to having avira antivir installed with windows defender turned on , If you do have an antivirus perhaps try unninstall it and try again

Thanks everyone, and some good news. The new beta drivers have done the trick, and I'm finally up and running.

Thanks greatly for everyone's patience and sound advice :)

Good for u ambershee. But Im still having no luck with my problem.
I uninstalled my avira antivirus and disabled windows defender, removed my old drivers and then after reboot installed these beta drivers again without any luck.

But Im little closer to identifing my problem. When I try to install nvidia control panel, it says: Setup failed to read the required display driver to be used with this package.
I probably have to wait when they make new good drivers.

Seems to me that these drivers just dont like my system

    Hey Guys -

My Solution - only plug in 1 x monitor when I installed the card. I downloaded the driver from nVidia site.

When I tried installing the card and booted up with 2 monitors attached, it just beep-beep-beeped at me and wouldn't load BIOS.

Removed one monitor, that got me booted, d'loaded driver. Bingo.

Can't seem to find an NVidea Control panel download for Windows 7 64bit though....anyone know anything please shout ;-)

    Hello everybody,

I do have problems with GeForce9800GT on Windows 7 64 bit, too. However the drivers are installed correctly or at least without problems.
I have Windows 7 in 32 and 64 bit versions. Switching via bootscreen. 32 bit works just fine.

    System:
    CPU Core i7 920; Gigabyte Mainboard GA-EX58-UD3R; 8GB DDRIII;

But I am not able to connect the graphics card via digital cable (HDMI / DVI) to the monitor) without problems. If I do either the screen starts flashing and cracking (when using HDMI since monitor has speakers) or the mouse is invisible or the BIOS is only visible via analog (VGA) cable or ... or ... . It depends on the amount of cables connected to my GeForce and maybe her mood?

So, in general Windows 7 64 bit and 9800GT seem not to like each other. I can use it only with a VGA cable. Until now I do have to change cables every time I change the OS.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?
