    I do not Recommend a BIOS Update as there does not seem any thing there that would help with your problem ..

    Gigabyte changed the hardware on the MB when they went from ver 4.1 to ver 5 and you may just have a ver 5 board.

    Here is the link to the Gigabyte ver 5 board and has the drivers.

    GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket AM3+ - GA-78LMT-USB3 (rev. 5.0)

    It is a totally different Driver that would explain things

    When you get some time take a look at the MB and see if it shows the Rev #. Should be stenciled next to the board name.
