Keyboard stopped working after driver update - Windows login not possi

    Dear forum,

I recently updated my Lenovo E320 Keyboard- and Mousedriver. Something went wrong during the update. After the reboot I could not login to my Windows Account because the keyboard and the mouse stopped working. Keyboard works fine when entering/changing settings in bios.

So far I have installed a second Windows 7 on my second partition because I though I would be to somehow install the drivers from there. But I have not succeeded doing that.

Plese let me know if you have any useful hints.

Thank you very much in advance.

If you have an old PS2 keyboard laying around, plug it in and boot up. It should work. That will let you get to system restore using keyboard shortcuts, and you can use a restore point before the driver update was installed. Hopefully, that will bring back your USB keyboard and mouse. If the update caused the problem, I wouldn't suggest applying it again.

I do not have any PS/2 ports to connect a keyboard. I tried a external USB keyboard which does not work either.

    Any other ideas?

Safe boot fails with or without CMD as well.

    Model number: 1298-CTO

Since I am able to save my data I guess the easiest way out now would be to reinstall windows seven again?
