    Problem installing Monitor.inf driver

Link to screenshot of error whilst attempting to install through device manager:

Windows update reports the same driver installed as an update Failed to install when I try installing through windows update

After right clicking the device in device manager it says it's enabled. ect. the button to enable/disable says Disable so its working but its not going into the right category under Monitors > monitor pnp/nonpnp ect.

Hi Welcome to Seven Forums ... Try the following method ...

    Device Manager
    Select Right-click on your Device
    Then click on Update Driver
Select on search driver on computer
Then insert the path of your INF file

Hi, if the issue isn't resolved at this time, can you post a screen shot of your Device Manager?

    Thanks.

After doing some research i have found this is a common problem ... Some solutions which may work or not ...

    Update Graphics Driver ..

Try disabling UAC user account control) from the Control Panel, User Accounts menu, then restart ....

And finally as most Monitors do not really need a Driver as they are plug and play .. Is the Driver really required ?
