Most welcome glad we could help
Hello,
I have this laptop as well and put on windows 7 home premium. I installed the mentioned mouse driver however, is there a newer version i can install as I cannot figure out how to get two finger to select right click menu. Also, I have tried to install Acer Launcher, and even though it installs I still do not have on screen visuals for when I raise and lower volume, brightness etc. Thank you!
Thank you for your quick reply, I apologize for not being more specific in my first post. I have used all the windows 8 drivers except for the mouse because it would not allow me to install it saying there was nothing to update so I ended up using the link for another acer laptop that was posted in this thread. Acer launch manager would only install with the windows 7 version, I did install framework 4.5 which I thought was needed because the windows 8 version asked for it to be installed before saying it wasn't compatible with my computer but it didn't do anything.
From the Windows 8 Drivers available on the Acer webpage for this model. I don't recall if I had to point Windows to the setup folder of the particular driver I needed to get it to install fully, I know I had an issue with 2 drivers where the setup wouldn't work but if I went into the device manager where there were the exclamation points next to devices which weren't installed properly and pointed it to check in the Acer Windows 8 driver of what I needed installed setup folder it fixed it but I don't remember if I did for the chipset.
I tried updating the mouse software from Synaptics website and it updated however there doesn't seem to be a way still to right click by tapping still in the menu like I had with windows 8.1
No problem i will have a look and see what Drivers i can find that will fix your problem ...
It will probably be tomorrow some times as it is very late here UK ..
Hello,
I only need the fix my issue with volume/brightness adjustments to show up onscreen, I fixed my issue with the two finger tap to right click. I found a forum thread where the poster said you just need to adjust a registry file to enable it and it works now, very simple. I am posting the link if anyone would like to do it themselves, I had to go into the synaptic settings and exit out first to get the registry files to show up before I could do anything but it may not be the case for someone else.

and how did you guys succeed to downgrade Acer E3-111 to Windows 7? I tried installing Windows 7 but it proved to be impossible - first I had problems with partition style (managed to figured it out), later the system simply froze at animation appearing during "Starting installation" screen. How did you get past it?
And yes, I've been doing it according to the guide posted here on severnforums.com...
Thanks in advance for any clue.
