its one provided by my ISP, lm with Sky Fibre.. since they dont tend to provide connection details lve a router with their details pre-installed on. plus lve had it for a while which means it was before the self install option before they started sending out routers with built in modems, so l have a BT modem which connects to my router via cat5.

    the make and model is:
Model SR101 Firmware Version 1.15m.3734.Rbut since my laptop suffers none of the issues my PC is suffering my guess is either usb driver issues or the wireless hardware itself.. that said could an IP conflict cause such issues? ld rather not factory reset because it took allot of time to setup the firewall rules (l have allot of things that require certain ports) and if memory serves my old system did share the IP lm on which l cant remember if l removed or not from the IP reservations however l did re-add this system to the reservations. is there a way to refresh the reservation list to check?

tho either way lm thinking a new adapter would likely be useful considering lve had this one since 2010 maybe it might get me assigned a new IP when l install it.

You have the latest Firmware it is suppose to Update itself ... I am no Network Expert but we shall get that looked in to in due course ..

I have just about had every Internet Service Provider except for Sky ..

So have no idea how there setup works ..

Every Router i have had has been real easy to Reset ...

A new Adapter would for certain rule things out ..

Could it even be the Modem that is at fault ...

Router Advertisement settings have been changed on the network adapter 13. The current M - Managed Address Configuration flag is false and the O - Other Stateful Configuration flag is false. User Action: If you are seeing this event frequently, then it could be due to frequent change in M and O flag settings on the router in the network. Please contact your network administrator to have it resolved.
lve prolly already posted this before, but l couldnt see it. so l thought ld quote it again noting that the event is for DHCPv6-client event id 1006. and its a pretty regular occurrence as well. seemed to happen at the same time as a disconnection sound of a device (lve been trying to find out what that is as well still havent located which of my devices the the sound is resulting from) but to rule out cabling lm planning on replacing the mouse cable that has a damaged casing around the connector soon.

heres to hoping that getting a new wireless adapter fixes it.

still weird question, given the age of the device (3/5yrs at least) could plugging it into a usb 3.0 port have damaged it? lm just wondering if you take the whole on/off charge stuff into consideration meaning extra juice passing through the ports on an older device.. lm wondering if it caused problems.. the wireless should be in a 2.0 port now but its a theory.

Its very unlikely to have caused any damage .. It could be due to its age ..

If a new Adapter does not fix the issue ...

I can suggest more steps which should help ....
