    Can't open Hp coolsense

Hi, I have a hp pavilion dv6 7050ca laptop and I cannot open Hp coolsense. I searched around and found that my problem was my hp support assistant. When I open hp support assistant it automatically crashes and says windows is finding a solution to the problem...I tried to uninstall using control panel and it gave me "error 1316." saying the my account already exists or something along those lines. Now I downloaded the fixit by microsoft and it apparently got hp support assistant to uninstall, but when I open hp recovery manager to try and reinstall it...it shows a red exclamaition mark claiming I did not uninstall Hp support assistant...and it doesn't show up on control panel anymore...What is wrong? And how do I get Hp support assistant and hp coolsense to work? Please help me as I really want both of those applications to work!

I installed the hp support assistant from the link you gave me and the icon doesn't appear...can't find it from the start menu or control panel either...it is completely invisible..

Try to Reinstall the original version of HP Support Assistant that came with your computer.

Instead of trying to Install from the Recovery Manager .. Go to the HP Website and Download the Original Version that came with your Computer ....

Actually...I am getting rid of bloatware atm..and are the hp applications such as coolsense, support assistant, etc really necessary for my laptop? I read somewhere that it is unneeded and can be uninstalled altogether..
