HP DV6-6145DX 3.0 USB ports not working QE068UA#ABA

    Hi

After a fresh install of Win 7 Pro 64bit, I'm not able to get the drivers installed for the 2 3.0 USB ports on the left hand side of this laptop. I did install the chipset, whic is supposed to include the drivers for those ports, as the first driver installed after the fresh install of Win 7 but it doesn'tseem to work. What am I missing?

Thank you in advance for any suggestions

I would Install it .. This may sound silly some times HP roll the Chipset in with the Graphics ..

The Download for the Chipset from the HP Website is to small ..

Must only be the USB 3 Driver ..

Most welcome .. There are other ways to Install the Chipset too ..

But that is a lot of work and Trial and error ..

It is even worse if you have Windows 8 and decide to Downgrade to Windows 7 ..
