Looking for Chipset driver for Nivida 650i, P5N-E SLI MB

Just upgrading the wife's computer from XP Pro to Win 7 Home Prem. 64 bit, cannot make the MB disc for the P5N-E MB work to install Chipset or anything else, found this link in the forums here, ( http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce-vista-win7-32bit-15.57-driver.htm ).

This is a 32 bit driver, can I use it for the upgraded OS?? - apparently there are NO 64 bit Chipset drivers for this combination MB and OS.

Also found a link in same thread for "audio" driver :)

    Thanks for any help

    Joe

i dont believe a 32 bit driver will work for you as the operating system installed is 64-bit. With that in mind you need a 64-bit version of the driver you are trying to install. Try going to the manufacturers support site and search for a 64 bit version of the driver you need.

That is where the problem is, it is an Asus MB and they have NO win. 7 64 bit chipset driver, the 650i is made by Nivida but I could not find a 64 bit chipset there either, was hopping that the 32 bit chipset might be "backward compatible" -

Yes I saw that the Asus site did have a 64 bit Vista driver - wasn't sure if I could use it ???

    Did just find this ( http://www.userdrivers.com/Motherboa...ista-7-64-Bit/ )

What do you think - this does appear to be what I am looking for, same driver ver. as in my 1st post ??

What are my chances this will work ?

    Thanks

I corrected the link - sorry about that

It appears that ver. 15.57 is for all flavors of the 650i and 680i chipsets, only difference with the 680i is the setup of the SLI which I do not use -

I am hoping you guys think I can use the 15.57 chipset ver. I now have found it available many places for download -

Thanks for all the help everyone, I did use "virus total" (clean scan), and the earlier ver. 15.51 has a Audio driver included (only difference) other than 15.57 has newer driver versions -

Still not sure, will have to pick one and hope for the best

    Thanks again
