    My first thoughts are.

    1. Are you having a problem that indicates a bios flash is needed?
    2. Does that bios flash info indicate that it is for the said problem?
    3. Just because their is a new bios does not mean your system needs or wants it.

I personally don't update bios (flash) unless I have a problem I can't fix another way and the bios update is specific to my problem.

Looks like We're using the wrong symbol this / instead of this \ oops,

Well Bear I'm not really having any issue but never updated them after re-install a few weeks ago,
On the list of bios updates I believe I was using the other update released I believe on month 12...2009

Well this is what's on the flash drive,
So I guess the second folder is included inside the larger one,

I haven't done it yet I'll wait and see what Wolfgang has to say about it :/

Might also need to see how to backup the existing bios and recovery methods before

So many different Versions of Acer BIOS ... Jack made a very valid point though BIOS updates should only really be considered if one is having problems ...

Actually for this machine there is only 2
The 12-2009 and the 2014 version I just had it on show all versions instead of recent.
If there are any issues with the 2014 ?

I did notice they only had two on the Acer Website ... What i do not like is the fact that they tell you nothing about the Updates there is no Information available .. On what improvements the update is suppose to do ...

Yep I was just looking into that,
I doubt I'll get any support answers on that on a 5 y.o. system beside a referral to a third party support company "not free" to ask or ask on their questions community :/

The only thing Acer on this machine is the bios
Clean install wiped out everything else
