Device Manager says coprocessor is missing...  

In my device manager, it says that my coprocessor was never installed. I looked in the processor drop down tree, and it said that both processors were working. I don't know what to do... or if it's harmful...

please help me!

I googled my problem and found some forums with some people who had the same problem. they were saying it was nvidia chipset drivers, and this one guy said that he tried updating the driver via the web. it didn't work, same for me. But, he said he got it to scan his entire C:\ drive, and it found the missing driver. So, I did the same thing, and it found it in about 5 minutes! it turns out it was my nVidia nforce system management controller!

so there you go!

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!! I've been having the same problem for the past weeks and this thread solved it.

Question though, would installing the coprocessor remove the occasional choppy or lag in my videos? I've been having those problems ever since I've done a clean upgrade from Windows 7 RC to Windows 7 Home Premium. Just so you know, the Win7 RC wasn't a clean install from the original OS, Windows Vista.

That could possibly be the drivers for the video card or chipset.

How to scan in drive C? sorry for the question but i have the same prob and my dvd rom does not recognise in device manager

Thank you very much for this post. I have had this issue for a long time and it wouldn't go away until after I followed these instructions. It was my nVidia nforce system management controller as well. Thanks again!
