Network Controller - can't find, solutions? (Asus X555LN laptop)

    OS: Windows 7 Ult 32bit
    Laptop: Asus X555L - Notebooks & Ultrabooks - X555LN - ASUS
    Specs: i5 CPU, GF GT840M, 8GB RAM DDR3

What's ridiculous, even Asus driver disc (in laptop's packaging) doesn't work, crashes. I installed drivers manually.

    My problem: https://i.imgur.com/JSvYBdI.jpg

Broadcom WLAN doesn't install: imgur: the simple image sharer

Problem #2: imgur: the simple image sharer

I tried to install this: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Det...+1000&lang=eng

Installing Qualcomm and Realtek WLAN drivers sometimes threw out a "Can't install properly, the device might've been disconnected. Reinsert". But the installation continues and finishes.

Can anybody help? I have no idea what's going on. Tried all respective WLAN drivers from disc and internet, no solution.

    Thank you very much, guys!

Hi Welcome to Seven Forums .... Your original OS was Windows 8 ? ... I can understand why you would like to run Windows 7 .. But why not the 64 Bit OS ? As you have 8Gb of Ram seems a terrible waste ...

My original OS was FreeDOS. I installed my original Windows 7 32bit by myself. Would 64bit really help? I'm not really sure now. Kind of lost as I've never experienced such unsolvable problems, even for a web developer :/

The 64 Bit Drivers will not work with 32 Bit OS .. The other thing is having 8Gb of Ram with your 32 Bit OS not even half of the Ram will be recognized ... But if you want to try and keep the 32 Bit OS .. I will try and help you find the Drivers ? :)

I know they won't work. But they used to always work before when I installed them on other laptops.
Drivers are packaged with multiple versions to remove the need for mutliple files for each OS version.

You could do a Clean Install the Tutorial below contains every thing you need including the ISO ...

Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

Of course you would need the Product COA Key for activation

It's a brand-new laptop, first installation of Windows OS on 1TB HDD. Can't believe it's gone so wrong in so many ways.

    Hey guys, an update.

I've installed Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit and wifi worked from the beginning. It's fixed.

No idea what was causing wifi to be disabled on Win7 32bit. Some miraculous case.
