I upgraded from Windows XP PRO to Windows 7 Ultimate, driver problems

I have a Pavilion a810n, which has the ASUS K8S-LA motherboard. Do I have a Realtech or SIS network adapter? I have tried all day downloading different drivers, but I haven't found the right one yet. I know this is a common problem so I have searched all of the common forums and stickies without finding the answers. Can someone here please help me? Thanks, Jim

Thanks Maxie, you are correct about the onboard LAN adapter, but I can't seem to find the driver to download. I've been to the Asus site, the Realtek site and about a million others, but it doesn't seem to be available. Can you help me find it? Thanks and Happy New Year, Jim

Hi Jim ... I can find a Driver that will work with Windows 7 32 Bit OS ...

The SiS 900-Based PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter i think would also work for you ...

But again no 64 Bit Driver ... I shall continue to search though

Hi Maxie, thanks for your help. I have been tempted to just buy a PCI adapter and just plug it in but I'm on a retired man's budget and if possible, I'd like to download the solution for free. Thanks, Jim

Yes, I had come across that link in my searching. That exactly portrays my situation. I have a friend who may have a card I can borrow, but he hasn't answered my voice mail yet. Thanks for your efforts. Jim

Hi Maxie, sorry those links didn't yield any results. They were close but no cigar. I got word from my friend. He has a WiFi USB adapter that should do the job of scanning for the correct driver for the LAN board. I'll let you know how it works out. Thanks, Jim
