MB has no drivers for Win 7 can I use Vista drivers

My MSI motherboard (K9N6SGM-V) currently doesn't have drivers for Windows 7, can I use the Vista drivers? I am just a basic computer user, I don't need support for directx 11, nor do I needs support for new touch screen features.

Welcome to Seven Forums, Dark Lord.

What devices are you having problems with?

(Put another way, if you aren't having any problems, you may not need any drivers.)

I actually haven't installed Windows 7 yet, I wanted to make sure I had the drivers before I started installing it.

Your MB uses the NVIDIA GeForce 6100/nForce 405 chipset. You can get the drivers directly from NVIDIA.

You didn't specify if you were installing 32bit or 64bit so I provided links to both.

    32 Bit Drivers
    NVIDIA DRIVERS 191.07 WHQL

    64 Bit Drivers
    NVIDIA DRIVERS 191.07 WHQL

You can click on the "Supported Products" tab to verify that these support your chipset. It's near the bottom under "GeForce 6 Series:".

Thanks Alakar, I never thought about getting the drivers from Nvidia. I've always gotten the drivers from MSI. I'll let you know how things go.

    Thanks again!

Also do the same for the sound drivers.
