modem driver not working for 64 bit

So uh, I have a motorola surfboard sb5101 modem and I recently got windows 7 64 bit. I've been trying to get the modem to work with an usb cable but the driver apparently doesn't work with 64 bit operating systems. I know using an ethernet cable would be a lot easier but I need to use both because I have two computers on my network and in order to play some games like starcraft together with my brother without any extrememe lag I would need the second cable for the second ip address.

So is there anyway that I would be able to make this work? I can't seem to find any driver downloads for 64 bit and all the help threads I've seen were ones where people only needed to use just the ethernet cable. Any kind of solution would be helpful, like contacting shaw for an new modem, buying one myself? (dunno if thats possible), or anything. Especially with starcraft 2 coming, it would suck if I couldn't play online with my bro

Hook it up by USB to your computer. Then go into the device manager and right click on it. Properties. Details tab. Change dropdown to hardware ids. Copy and paste the results here. I'll see if I can find something for you.

I normally never recommend (and actually recommend to stay away from) these kinds of sites but in your case, it would probably be alright to use once. Get and install the driver. Then uninstall their software.

I wasn't able to find it anywhere else.

This driver is from 2004! I'm pretty sure that it's not for 64 bit.

Sometimes you just can't avoid having to upgrade your hardware in order to use a new OS. I know you don't want or need to hear this, but It is most likely the only way you may have to go. If torrentg can't write a uasable file for you.

If you connect via ethernet, buy a new modem.
