I lost the cd that came with it...

Hook it up to your computer by USB. Then go into the device manager and right click on it. Properties. Details tab. Change dropdown to hardware ids. Copy and paste the results here. I'll see if I can find something for you.

    x86 or x64?

    You lucked out.

    Extract the Vista x64.

Right click on it in device manager. Update driver software. Browse. Let me pick. Have disk. Browse. Find the .inf and double click on it. Let it install.

    Then run setup.exe after.

    Enjoy.

Can't get the dongle to work

    Duckling,

I see you've had some success getting this hardware to work. I cannot even get the drivers to load. Well, they appear to load but when I look in Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager -> it shows up under Universal Serial Bus Controllers as Unknown Device.

I first installed the drivers by following the instructions. No luck. I then uninstalled the driver and software, then installed the driver from the specific location Driver\Windows_XP_Vistax32bit\setup.exe. I then installed EZ Grabber using AV Grabber\setup.exe. They both appear to install fine, but EZ Grabber doesn't even seem to store config settings properly (e.g. Brightness, Hue, etc. have strange values such as 013603).

When I try to manually select the driver for the "Unknown Device" by right-clicking on it, choosing Properties, Driver tab, Update Driver button, then manually selecting c:\program files\Mydrv\U6000ALL.inf, I get a msgbox "The specified location does not contain information about your hardware".

    I'm running:
    Microsoft Windows XP Professional
    5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600
    4 GB ram
    PLENTY of drive space

I was looking forward to using this for digitizing videos of my son. I know this is a Windows 7 forum but I am desperate for help.
