I hadn't tried the MAC address and it was set to all 0's so changed it, and that sorted the ethernet device cannot start, but still got the controller not installed, so updated from Windows as shown in attachment and still nothing. Yes my network cable in SIS190 ethernet. There is another Ethernet cable slot that doesn't work even in ubuntu connected to my motherboard.

    Will do Maxie, ty :)

I know Kaktussoft, its strange! It must be because I using ubuntu right now on same PC to access internet. Screenshots coming up.

The controller it didn't have a driver in talled but does now. I unintalled and reinstalled and tried all 3 driver from the update menu.

    Yes only 1 card.

    No wireless unfortunatly.

    Just Install Drivers

Did you really try No MAC Address on SiS190 NIC ? Is network cable in SIS190 ethernet?
    He just needs Drivers.
Please download and Install them from here.

Download free driver for notebook A32G A32GV11C (Windows 7, XP, Vista) << DriverPack Solution

You might face issues while installing them , if you do change the Compatibility mode to Vista for the installation

Thanks manish9009, No problems installing :) That sorted the audio controller :) But can't find a driver for the offending Ethernet controller Device ID stated. The ones in update menu won't start, also set network address in the controller setting, would I need a different one to the one I set in the Ethernet adapter??
