The troubleshooting report flags these missing drivers:
-Ethernet Controller
-Network Controller
-PCI Simple Communications Controller
-SM Bus Controller
2-"Unknown device" drivers

My System Information file is below:

SM Bus Controller:

I read other posts and suggestions in this forum however I could not find the same Drivers on my non-US Dell Vostro 3550.

Any assitance will be much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum Martin,

Let's get you started with the ones you gave us ID's for,

These will be listed in the order you should install them.

Chipset (SM Bus Controller)

Wireless Intel (Network)

Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1030/Advanced-N 6230 Bluetooth Adapter Driver Driver Details | Dell UK

This one DW5550 is mobile broadband wireless

(There is also a firmware and an application for the one above but lets stick with the driver for now.)

Those are all from the UK site by the way,

Product Support | Dell UK

The unknowns you mention may give up more info after installing the chipset so you will have to post back with the updated info or just run this and post the file it creates.

System Information File - Create in Windows

I'd be willing to bet at least one is the card reader, freefall sensor might be the other but those are just guesses, better to wait and see though.

Ok so like I'm also in the same predicament LOL it seems like my drivers weren't installed i was missing 5 but i managed to get them thanks to a previous post on this thread however i had to download them on safe mode because they wouldn't install on regular mode for some reason. Except for the finer scan driver which said couldn't be downloaded through safe mode but on regular mode wouldn't install so yea. Also whenever i go on regular mode i get blue screened for some reason...

I own a Vostro 3550 and currently only have the "unknown device" driver missig which is for the finger scanner.

The blue screen doesn't give much info other than that it "could" be because of a driver malfunction or something about BIOS but yea i can provide a screenshot if necessary but honestly it's such a pain to get this friggin blue screen after trying so long. Thanks!
