    SMCWUBS-G 802.11g Wireless USB Adapter

Hello, i was wondering if anyone had any troubles with this device?
I have been struggling for months now with my 64bit build 7600 version of windows 7.
I noticed SMC created a new drvier just for windows 7 but once downloaded inside the .RAR there are only a few .sys and some .inf files. What to do with them?

If i install teh driver that came with the CD windows 7 won't even recognize my wireless. I will get the device not properly installed error. So besides that driver i have also to install an onlder version of it. Then i can get windows to see my wireless.

I have already tried to run it in compatiblity mode, didn't help.

    Anyone with similar issues?

    Thanks

I am just guessing but the *.inf files need to be in C:\windows\inf
The *.sys files either need to be in the C:\windows\system32 or its 64 bit counterpart. I suspect system32 because they probably arent 64bit drives

You were not able to find drivers by gooogling?

No man, i have tried googling it. No one seems to have that. The only place where i could even find a windows 7 driver was the oficial website.

I did try to put the .inf and the .sys files in the folders you adviced but not in the x64 one since, as you said, it's not a x64 driver. It's still going pretty bad and my event viewer keeps on adding errors every day.

If its not 64-bit do not install it. Something will break. Otherwise if you find a compatible driver, right click device manager and then select update driver for the device and locate the unzipped/unrared/extracted folder.
