Look under the Drivers Tab / Chipset you will see the Version there ...
So why did you say this then ?
(no win 10 support etc.)
But to answer your question, you get drivers for the motherboard from the motherboard manufacturer and that`s it. ( or thr driver cd that comes with the motherboard )
In your case that would be Gigabyte, don`t you have the drivers cd ?
Usually we tell people to just get the network drivers downloaded to a flash drive so they have them, then just run all rounds of windows update, but you don`t want to do that.
sorry i didn't intend to offend you
i knew from the beginning from where i could download them but what i wanted was is very simple and no i din't get the answer what i was expecting
i was expecting an answer how to get the drivers from the source, as...
gigabyte is only posting drivers that they took from intel, so i wanted to go straight to the source in order to get the most updated ones. simple no? :)
hope i am coming through clear
thanks
GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1150 - GA-P85-D3 (rev. 1.x)
Get the drivers from the link above, which is the same link Maxie gave you in post 11.
Just choose your operating system at that link and get all drivers available.
I would NOT worry about having the very latest drivers.
Gigabyte has presumably tailored the drivers to provide maximum performance on your particular motherboard. Obviously, any driver from Intel or anywhere else is not going to be tailored to a Gigabyte motherboard.
Are you still confused?
thank you
i am not and wasn't confused how to get the normal way drivers,
sorry but that link i already had even before maxie posted it (i am not so dumb i do know somethings in computers),
i just wanted to know how to get the drivers from the source,
so you just told me that there isn't any source except gigabyte,
ok i understand.
thank you
Well you got me confused exactly what you want compared to what you know.
From behind our keyboards we have no way of knowing what you do or do not know.
From post #1
To answer your question; Motherboard vendor.hi
i want to do a fresh install so i checked by my motherboard site for that latest drivers and i saw that they were last updated a year ago (no win 10 support etc.) so i want to know from where is the best to download the drivers from the chipset vendor or from motherboard vendor?
You didn`t offend me, I just asked if you were good.
You kept going on and on about such a simple thing, you get the drivers you need from the manufacturer, then you just try to update to the latest drivers (if there are any) through device manager or windows update.
Maxie`s suggestion for Intel`s driver updater in post #8 was spot on.
You`re making a mountain out of a mole hill
