    Win 7 installed but cant' get any sound? drivers?


    I think i need a driver update but i have no idea of where to get them or how to install them? any help would be great please!

    Motherboard
    ASUS® M4A785TD-V EVO: DUAL DDR3, S-ATA II, 2 x PCIe x16, 1 x PCIe x1, 3 x PCI

    Sound Card
    ONBOARD 8 CHANNEL (7.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO

    Windows 7 64-bit

    That's all i know, alot of people are talking about realtek, what is that and do i need it to make my sound work, thanks?

    Click Start and in the Start Search box, type device manager and press Enter.
    Now expand Sound Video and Game controllers and post a screenshot.

    The audio driver is already installed. Did you try plugging in any headphone to see if there's sound?

    yeh, i have tried everything, i have speakers that iv tried to plug in, headphones .. nothing works

    Try the speakers in the front audio port(headphone port).

    Did you try Windows Update to see if it gives any Generic Audio driver?
    Also, do you have the audio icon at the taskbar?

    Iv done the automatic updates that it comes up with? unless theres manual ones i can do?

    Yeh i have the audio icon at the bottom, when i play music then green bar goes up and down asif its playing but just nothings coming out the speakers?

    A silly question but are your speakers properly connected and turned on?
    What speakers do you have? 2.1 or 5.1 or 7.1?
