Brightness Level in Cntrl Pnl/Pwr Options Won't Stay Bright

A few days ago, I downloaded the latest version of SlimDrivers to my laptop. The problem I have is that now every time I boot up my laptop I have to go into Cntrl Pnl/Pwr Options and turn the Brightness level (at bottom of screen) all the way up. In fact, it opens at nearly 20%, so dim I can hardly read it. I've tried to find ways of saving this setting, but I can't find anything yet. Can anyone help me here?

    Thanks,

GEE Thanks folks. I didn't think this issue was such a "rubik's cube" that NO ONE would even have a clue.

Is this what you installed? https://www.slimwareutilities.com/slimdrivers.php If so uninstall it first thing as that will cause you more harm then good as it will likely detect wrong things for you to begin with. Did you have it install a new display or power driver for you?
