    Unknown manufacturer Network adapter/Ethernet controller

I recently ran a restore disk on my computer, now I can't connect to the internet at all. Tells me there is no driver for the Ethernet device installed. I went to system information but I'm not sure what is what. When I click on install driver for the ethernet controller it tells me it can't find any, and the manufacturer is unknown. How do I know what driver I need if I can't even find out who the manufacturer of the ethernet controller is? My PC is a desktop HP slimline s5000 series.

    Welcome.

I recommend going to the HP site for the driver. Here is a link to one of the 5000 series PC's.

If that is not your PC, then you could try the Realtek site. The ethernet device you have shown is made by Realtek.
