Silicon Laboratories USBXpress Device (Driver Removal)

    Hello:

I find "Silicon Laboratories USBXpress Device (Driver Removal)" installed on my computer, but I cannot recall having downloaded and installed it. I have search the Web, but cannot seem to find information on who might have installed it on my computer (Microsoft?). Do I need it?

Thanks for casting some light on this.

I also don't have a way of knowing how you got it.
I know my systems don't have the program. I also know I don't need it.

Do as you please but if I found it on my systems I would remove it. If for what ever reason you decide you need it you could always install it again.

I would also recommend running AdwCleaner from Bleeping Computer to see if you got some more strange things.

    AdwCleaner Download

Make sure you tick on the button that looks like this.

Layback Bear, thank you. I will remove it. I do have Spybot, and ran it today. Nothing serious found.

I have no idea how good Spybot works but I do know AdwCleaner works well.
Never hurts to check with more than one scanner.

You are absolutely right about that. I also have Norton Internet Security, although I do not think it tracks adware. Oh, I also have SpywareBlaster.
