Problems after unistalling usb 3.0 controller....please help

Hello, new guy here. :) In attempt to fix some quirky issues with my USB devices, I have managed to disable all my USB functionality after Windows 7 boots up. It was an Intel Extensive 3.0 host controller driver I foolishly uninstalled via device manager. The weird thing is even the PS/2 to usb adapter for keyboard doesn't respond either. Boots into bios just fine with any port used. Tried disabling both xhci/ehci hand-off in a desperate attempt, USB legacy is enabled as well. I tried booting into safe mode as well with no luck. Any ideas?

But seriously, no functionality at all from the keyboard or mouse once you get to windows ?

Even in a usb 2.0 port ?

Yes, even with 2.0 ports. I did try to enter bios with PS/2 adapter on keyboard with no success, might need to try a keyboard PS/2 connector... as this ones obviously faulty. Still doesn't explain 2.0 ports not responding at log in screen. This has me stumped. I couldn't even select language when trying to reinstall via installation is an OEM builders copy BTW.

Make sure in your bios that Legacy is set for your USB ports.

I don't use a MSI motherboard but also check if all your USB Ports are enabled.

My Asus board has that under Advanced/USB Configuration

Legacy is enabled in bios. After unplugging the SSD where my win7 install is, I was able to boot from installation disc with USB functionality (mouse was letting me scroll language setup for new install). Of course I don't want to do that unless I absolutely have to.
