hp driver issues or hardware issue

Well I have an hp dv2000 series. Service tag says dv2810us, above that it says dv2500 and bios model number says DV2700. So I don't know what I have actually lol. Anyways, its got win 7 professional 64 bit. Its processor is AMD x2 64 mobile. The problems I'm having is in the device manager. There are no audio/video/game controller listed AND it is not detecting my CD-ROM drive (I've already tried 3 other optical drives). I know you don't need drivers for the cd rom drives so I don't know what to do about that. However, for the audio drivers I have literally tried everything available to no avail. I either get an error messege saying the device for this driver cannot be found or there is no media for this device. I'm a computer tech so you can be sure I've tried everything I could ha. I'm getting a few other driver errors in the device manager, 3 of them are "base system device" and one of them is 1193 EEE controller. I've downloaded all drivers manually from the hp site and these are still there. I can provide harware IDs for them when I get home. So does anyone have any suggestions? I cannot use driver discs because I do not have the originals. Does this sound like a motherboard issue or driver issue? These hp DV models are notorious for motherboard issues so I would not doubt it. Let me know what you guys think.

Also, I put a hard drive from a dv6000 model in it that had vista home premium 32 bit and installed all necessary drivers but had the same problems as I do with the win 7 OS
