Has anyone still installed a old HP scanjet 4570 in windows 7?

    Hello,

I am looking for somebody who has still installed a HP scanjet 4570c. in Windows 7.
Mine was still working fine untill I had to reïnstall Windows.
Now Its saying there is no driver anymore. Hp has given the orders to Microsoft to stop supporting that scanner.
If somebody has still installed it, its possibele to export the drivers to a file an import them on another system.

Many thanks if somebody is responding.

    Kind regards
    Luke

I personally haven't tried this but:
HP scanjet 4570c is not supported on Windows 7 . However, HP drivers and software created for the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system might provide a scan workaround in Microsoft Windows 7 for some products but are not guaranteed.
    Give it a shot.

Yes, Baddog22556 is right. In the HP customer support page about HP Scanjet list the scanners that not supported by windows 7 system. There are about 40 models. You can learn the list from here: HP Scanjet - Scanners not supported in Windows 7 | HP® Customer Support

On this page, HP also provide an solutions. For some hardware device that the official site not add drivers to supported new system, they suggest to find the driver from the third-party scan software solutions.

So I think you can try to find it from some drivers download site, because these site will collect drivers download information from the other third-party website download database.

I have used the drivers from the official HP support site for Vista in compatibility modus XP and installed them, then connected the scanner and it was working.

hope this may be a hint for other forum users.

Thanks a lot for your help

    Kind regards

I'm glad you had already solved your problem. You are so lucky, for many hardware manufacturers, they do not provided new drivers for old products, it is aims to promote and sales their new products. Actually, some old products will works well if they had new drivers.
