The problem of old computer bios is that it does not contain this usb in boot priority menu.
To the best of my knowledge. If your motherboard bios does not have USB in boot priority menu you will never be able to boot from anything from USB. Windows 7 will not see or even look for a USB boot. Window 7 will just pay no attendsion to what is installed in a USB until the system is completely booted.

F8 is not always the boot menu key
Could be F10 or F12 on first start up.

Refer Post 20 of this thread.
Mother board is the broad category and the details of the same furnished line by line. I tried to download the manual but so far no success

What is inter gav 915 ??

    Never heard of it.

Did the PC originally come with XP, maybe that`s why you`re having problems.

Hi, intel gav 915 was my previous mother board. I have given the mother board specification in my post 13 of this thread.
i have changed the mother board and processor and nothing else. I also wish to share that at present I am not having problem, but want to get extra knowledge about the items in the BIOs settings in old computers, in which there is less menu to work with .
Regarding the clarification of usb support, in my post 11, i have queried about a settings in old motherboard, which is having default support of legacy bios. But i want clarification on the point, i have marked in bold letters .
