    adapter

    Hi Neti,
Is it your Ethernet or Wifi.
    And what is it?
There are loads of preloaded drivers in W7.
    Go to
Update driver > Browse > Let me pick > UNCHECK show compatible hardware. wait for listing to appear below.

Left hand column is for manufacturer scroll to yours.
Then in the right hand column scroll down to yours
    Select.

    List any Problem devices
    • Make sure devices are connected and powered on
    • Click the Start Orb, type msinfo32 in the search box. Hit Enter
    • Click the + sign next to Components to expand it
    • Click Problem Devices. Anything appear?
    • If yes, click on it, Ctrl-A to select all, Ctrl-C to copy it, Ctrl-V to paste into next post
    • On the other hand, if no devices are listed, tell me so

Generate and attach a DirectX report
    • Click Start, enter dxdiag in the search box
    • When DxDiag opens, look along the buttons at the bottom of the DxDiag window
===> If you’re running 64 bit Windows, you’ll see a 64-bit DxDiag button. Click it to run the 64-bit version of dxdiag
    • Notice progress in lower left window corner
    • When done, click Save Information button and save as a text file to your Desktop
    • Upload the file to your next post

Sounds to me like a hardware problem such as if the Ethernet for your PC is an add-on card ie. PCI then maybe it became dislodged, or if it's a motherboard GBe connection then that is a much more serious problem.

You said "send" as if the repair people were remote, but then "they bring" as if they might be local. I think you should contact them and suggest that it seems they broke your Ethernet when they fixed your graphics.
