Windows 7: downgrading to 7, no mass storage driver? doesn't detect either HD

downgrading to 7, no mass storage driver? doesn't detect either HD

I have win 10 64 bit, and utterly despise it. Only about 40% of my favorite programs and old games will run on it. Quite frankly I'm sick of running into walls, programs that just plain and simple don't run on 10. So I forked out 2 hundo on a windows 7 disk.

Today I tried to install and it listed no drives when im suppose to select where to install windows. I have 2 harddrives, and neither are listed. They are listed in BIOS, they are listed in device manager. I made sure drive was set to AHCI or whatever. I downloaded what was claimed to be a mass storage controller driver. It was a dll and a cab file, I loaded them on a flash drive and clicked the option to find driver manually. Funny, when I click that it shows me all my drives, go figure. So when I select the flash drive it still says no driver found. Asus has no such driver on their website. I have found so many threads with similar problems, followed at least 5 step by step solutions that worked for other people, and to no avail.

I've already backed up all my files, I'm ready to downgrade. I spent 200 damn bucks, I know for a fact I do not have 2 currupt harddrives. So what in the heck is wrong here?

10 64 bit

Oh boy it seems I'm in quite a cluster now.

For those experiencing this problem as I described, the solution to mine was to put my flash drive into a usb 2.0, in the 3.0 slot it doesn't detect drives. So I fixed THAT problem, and ran into a huge one. You may have to move this thread at this point

After crashing during loading screen twice, it loaded the drives to install windows 7 on, it claimed the one I wanted to use was not ntfs or something like that and 7 could not be installed. I decided to back up my data on my other drive so I could try to put windows on that. And when I loaded up windows 10, it listed D: with an X over it and said this drive may be currupt. I restarted my computer, reset all bios setting to default even thugh I didnt change anything. And this time, D was gone. Was not listed on My PC. Im about ready to take this to the store and instate my warrenty to get a new drive, problem is I have all f my streaming programs, games, saves, and recordings on there. Hundreds of hours worth of work. And I have no money to pay some tech guy to retreive the contents for me. Im totally lost and dont know what to try first.

Why didn`t you use the windows 7 disc ? You wouldn`t have any issues.

It is well known that you can not use usb 3.0 ports to install Windows 7

Where did you pay $200 for Windows 7 ? That`s way too much.
