    USB Optical Mouse Failed Installing

Before I start, I just wanted to say hello to the community as I just joined this forums recently. (:

Anyways, the problem is I just bought this mouse ( Targus Mini Blue Trace Mouse ) about an hour ago.

Because the right click of my other mouse ( Logitech ) got wrecked due to playing too much League,

I plugged the new mouse in my netbook and it started searching for Windows installer.

After a couple minutes of waiting, I checked on it and it says failed, with no other messages. ( Screenshot : Screenshot by Lightshot )

Then I unplug it and i plugged it to another port. it failed again. ( Screenshot : Screenshot by Lightshot )

I honestly don't know how to fix this, please help me.

*Edit : I plugged the mouse in to my dad's laptop and it worked perfectly in his laptop.

    Hello Platerino,

Perhaps, Windows can't find a "Plug and Play" driver for your device.

Is your mouse wireless or wired?

What is the model number of your mouse?

Here's the manufacturer website for your Targus product.
    Support Home

Click drivers, enter your model number, download driver.

Reboot, plug mouse in. Driver should load now.

    Hope this helps'

The mouse would have a name or some other codes, etc.
    I know what you mean.

It did happened to me. Windows do not have the mouse driver.
    Plug in cannot detect mouse.
Then i do Google search on this name on the mouse itself.

Link to the website that my mouse to get it working

    https://www.highrez.co.uk/downloads/...toncontrol.htm

Just give it a try, unless you can find out the actual driver required.
As it may work with other mouse which have no windows driver available.
