    LAN drivers not installing

Hello. I had to preform a "load last known good configuration", and for some reason it wiped out my installed drivers. Long story short, I got everything installed except for my lan driver.

I firstly tried to use the default cd that came with my motherboard, but it kept saying "Cannot install drivers. No Intel(R) Adapters are present in this computer".

Then i went to asus's website, and tried the lan drivers there, but got the exact same error. I also went to device manager, uninstalled the driver, rebooted comp etc, and windows said: Ethernet controller: FAILED.
In device manager, it also said: Windows found driver for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it.

Some assistance would be greatly appreciate as this is driving me insane. Please let me know if you require any further information. Thanks

    My mobo is: asus z87I-deluxe
    Intel (R) Ethernet Connection I217-v

Hello dahead mate just a quick suggestion if you have access to another machine download the driver for the LAN onto a stick and then install it from the stick to the machine you have a problem with.

For example if I am going to clean install or transfer drives I save all my drivers for that particular machine as I outlined above and then do just that. I always do this especially the WLAN LAN and Blu tooth drivers because you at very least need a net connection. Saves a lot of hassles

Hi, thanks for the response. My issue isn't getting access to a driver, as I outlined I was able to go to the Asus site to get drivers (with my other computers).

Ok just thought it might be a work around so have you runthese yet??
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
Disk Check < if necessary include the /f and /r in the command line as per Option2 > in safe mode if need be

Current opinion is now the SFC is best run for at least three scans.
