Installed win 7 on toshiba -- no internet connection, lousy resolution

Went ahead and installed win 7 on a toshiba I got -- but now I can't get an internet connection and the resolution I can't set.

I'm getting messages that there are no device drivers available.

I had it look into the Windows.old folder (I wrote over the previous version, as it seemed to not be a genuine copy). The one I have is genuine.

I want to use this for some work that I do, but I'm at a loss at the moment on how to find/install drivers that will make this work, as it was working on the previous/non genuine copy.

I went into device manager and tried to look up what drivers it has, if any and the one for the monitor is suppose to be the most up to date.

Can someone help me out here if they've had a similar problem?

All the drivers are at Toshiba, as Oscer states, just go to Toshiba and punch in your model.

You can`t expect Device Manager to find the drivers.

Try Windows Update and/or Toshiba Driver Support
