USB audio card UNSIGNED driver error

    Hi ALL,

I have an USB external sound card made by ZOOM/U24. The company supplies the driver etc...Everything goes fine until it asks me to plug in cable and turn it on, then I get this message>

Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

Is there a workaround? It is a Brand Name hardware, I got everything enabled, but windows 7 64bit chooses a wrong audio driver....dated 2009 by windows...

This is on a Lenovo laptop X220.

    THANKS IN ADVANCE

    Hi Sound,
you dont need/want to set bypass to all.

But you can install that driver MANUALLY, there is an ignore driver signing option given

Device manager >> Audio card >> update >> Browse my comp >> LET me chose >> point to your install disc
that "error" will pop-up but chose the install anyway option.

I have a recording studio. Zoom isn't noted for the best drivers or support (not much Zoom equipment in recording studios).

Have you checked the Zoom site for any updated driver? Many times the driver that comes with a device is an older driver.

I would do a system restore back to a point PRIOR to first trying to install the device. That will give you a "clean" start. Then do as Torchwood suggests.

    solved

So ZOOM company didn't reply yet...nice

searching through all the driver signing problems I fell on one that WORKED ONE TIME!

I deleleted the link because it puts your PC into test mode and does not work.

I followed the steps and managed to update the zoom audio driver that was impossible to install. After unplugging the USB cable, driver is again ERROR...

So this idiotic situation remains unsolved, buying a 140Euros sound card without a digitally signed driver...

    Well...maybe some day...

    Windows 7 fault....

To bring you up to date, the driver from ZOOM is digitally signed.

It is a problem with windows-7.

Since I had an update offer to windows 10 I could not refuse....I said good bye W-7...

    Now everything runs OK....

    Cheers
