Wireless adapter doesn't work on windows 7 "No Valid IP Configuration"

Before you answer this question, I've already done the following:
1.) Download and install the latest driver for the adapter.
2.) I've already tried ipconfig /renew or release or whatever you want to call it.
3.) I've tried changing the ip address to static and rather automatic or automatic to static...Didn't do anything.

I have absolutely no idea what to do. I've tried EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING on the internet.
When I run the troubleshooter I get this message:
Wireless adapter doesn't work on windows 7 "No Valid IP Configuration"-troubleshoot.png

Please help and any would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Shut down PC. Switch off Router. Wait up to 10 minutes. Restart router, wait until all lights on router are green. Boot up your PC. With luck, the router will give your PC an IP.
