    HP Compact Presario CQ57 VGA Driver not installing


    Hi guys.

    I have a HP Compact Presario Laptop CQ57 running Windows 7 64bit but cannot get the display drivers which should be AMD. The laptop was running Windows 7 32bit and AMD/ATI display drivers installed but the kid I borrowed the laptop too asked if he can reinstall Windows 7 64bit. He wiped the recovery hard drive and all the drivers.

    I have downloaded the AMD drivers from the HP website and directly from AMD for this laptop but after successfully installing, it still shows Standard VGA even after restart. I've installed Windows 8, Windows 10, Windows Xp and Windows 7 32bit to see if I can figure understand what is going on but no remedy. There are no related BIOS settings either.

    The message after installing the AMD drivers as that it's successful but at the bottom it states other devices detected. I'm not sure if that means something?

    Drivers try to install:
    sp54988.exe
    14-9-win7-win8.1-64bit-dd-ccc-whql.exe
    amd-catalyst-15.7.1-with-dotnet45-win7-64bit.exe

    I'm lost, any advice?

    Hi. tried bios update and it gives this message:

    no match file in multi-fd
