Increasingly Infuriating
Hi
After I had to re-install my system last week because of a bug I couldn't find was causing upheaval on my desktop.
I'm constantly being asked to install updates by Microsoft. I know this is the norm, but these updates that don't get uploaded no matter how many times you let the system try is getting out of hand.
Why can't you update the computer in one go. I'd rather sit there for a couple of hours and upgrade the entire computer than constantly be plagued by that window coming up and telling me there are updates waiting to be installed and then have to stop what I was doing and restart the computer so the updates take effect.
I know I can switch off updates, but what if you need a security update that's being released to combat some prick who has constructed a trojgen that us mortals haven't seen before and Microsoft is trying to cover its own arse before it gets blamed for not seeing it coming.
At some point Microsoft will stop updating Windows 7 and then where will we be. Isn't there a complete set of updates (To date) that's available to download and keep handy if a bug messes your system so you have to re-install without that window constantly reminding you "There are updates".
Thanks a lot.
Sorry about the long rant.
